Transportation Advisory Committee
The Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC) provides Hamilton County Express (HCE) with recommendations regarding transportation policies and procedures; advises HCE on transportation service changes; and provides a forum in which the public can raise concerns and propose solutions for improving public transportation service in Hamilton County. Committee meetings are held quarterly and are open to the public. All meetings are held at Janus Developmental Services, 1555 Westfield Road in Noblesville. For 2024, the meeting dates are as follows:

Title VI of the Civil Rights Act

REASONABLE MODIFICATION
Janus Developmental Services, Inc. dba Hamilton County Express is committed to providing equal access and opportunity to qualified individuals with disabilities in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Hamilton County Express (HCE) recognizes that in order to have equally effective opportunities and benefits, individuals with disabilities may need reasonable modifications to policies and procedures. A reasonable modification is a change or exception to a policy, practice or procedure that allows disabled individuals to have equal access to programs, services, and activities.
HCE will make reasonable modifications to policies, practices, and procedures when necessary to ensure access to transit services for qualified individuals with disabilities, unless:
Making the accommodation would fundamentally alter the nature of the public transportation service.
Making the accommodation would create a direct threat to the health or safety of other passengers.
The individual with a disability is able to fully use HCE without the accommodation being made.
Whenever feasible, HCE requests that individuals make such requests for modifications before HCE is expected to provide the modified service. HCE will process requests and then provide modifications, where appropriate, in as short a time frame as reasonably possible. As soon as deciding about providing a modification, HCE will immediately communicate the decision to the individual. HCE will issue a notification of the decision in writing.
Any person who believes they have been discriminated against in obtaining a reasonable modification may file a complaint by completing and submitting a HCE ADA Reasonable Modification Complaint Form. HCE investigates complaints received no more than 30 days after receipt.
