As Janus continues to grow, we have more and more businesses, churches, foundations and private donors interested in partnering with us! Their support just adds to the number of services we are able to bring to our clients lives.
Although, as the Janus mascot, I have never been to a church, there are several churches that deserve recognition on my blog.
First Presbyterian Church – Noblesville – provided a generous cash donation
Bethel Lutheran Church – Noblesville – Youth Group wrote and received a grant to build benches for our new classroom
Grace Community Church – Providing a day of service with volunteers and grant money to construct a sidewalk to our gardens for easier access by our clients
Northview Christian Church – Providing a day of service with volunteers
Thank you to all of these kind people who are living their lives in service to others.
And speaking of serving others, Janus recently held our Annual Awards Banquet, celebrating the achievements of our clients and supporters of our programs. Since I am the official Janus mascot, I was a little surprised when I was left at home, but I can deal with disappointment!
The Masters of Ceremony for the event were Ray Cortopassi (Fox 59) and Jennifer Carmack (Channel 13). I’m told they were really funny and added even more to an already exciting evening.
The Knights of Columbus, Father Thomas J. Kelley Council #6923, provided the banquet hall, dinner and volunteers for 180 guests AT NO CHARGE to Janus. What a wonderful group of people! We appreciate their continued support.
You can make a difference in the life of a person with a disability by volunteering some of your time at Janus, making a financial donation through our website or donating through United Way where you work, by writing in the Janus name. Call Debbie Laird, 317-773-8781, ext. 100, for details.
