Community Employment
Community Employment smooths the transition from student to adult employment life. Hand in hand and side by side, the Community Employment team assists the individual with resume writing, job searching and interviewing. After successful employment has been achieved, the team joins the individual onsite to help the employer with training or any other employment challenges that arise to ensure a positive and success employment experience. Currently, the Janus Community Employment Program has partnered with over forty local area businesses, and counting! Our community and the individuals served benefit from a strong and lasting employment relationship.

In Work Experience, individuals have the opportunity to explore and develop abilities in a work setting that matches their needs and interests.

From the artistic development, production, marketing and sales of the variety of products individuals served in this program learn to develop profitable entrepreneurial skills.

Individuals are prepared to interact with customers, handle food safely, stock vending machines, manage purchasing and inventory, prepare a variety of menu items and develop money skills.

Hand in hand and side by side the Community Employment team assists individuals with resume writing, job searching and interviewing.

Doorways promotes developing independence and confidence, advocating for personal interests, and creating positive and healthy relationships.

This is a one-on-one or group therapy session offering with our Recreational Therapists.
